I made “In Unison Opaque” as a sort of antithesis to my usual vibrant cool shades of nebulae and ocean scenes. I wanted soft, blooming colors that flow gently and have subtle contrasts. The layers of resin lap over each other like waves or clouds emerging from light. Soft brassy gold droplets peek through the wispy white layers and beguiling seafoam green layers meet the soft rose hues to merge in a peaceful wilderness of color.

I have worked years to perfect the technique that allows me to get a domed side to the resin finish that perfectly forms at the edge. This sits in a visually gratifying juxtaposition to the blonde lacquered wood sides, lending a warm organic support to the enthralling glossy resin finish.
