“Féileacán” is the Irish word for Butterfly. I wanted to try something I have never seen done before, use liquid glass (resin) to create what looks like marble with an intricate design in it. I did this using a very specialized resin manipulation technique. Each piece takes me about a week to fully complete. I love the pastels of the ocean and sand beneath the Butterfly’s spread wings and I adore how the webbing of the resin plays the part of the intricate designs of a Butterfly’s wings.
