The Aleutian islands inspired this for me. I love how such intimidatingly cold water can produce such a variety of blue hues. Sprinkled silver pigment play the part of the seafoam sprinkles for an immersive art experience. I poured layered resin and manipulated it with a blow torch to get this effect. Resin is often called liquid glass because of how shiny and durable it is while still maintaining some opaque features. And transcending a painting as a clock, it’s functional art.
